Friction and Extrusion Alloying of Metallic Material

In this paper,friction and extrusion method has been used for metallic material alloying with LF6 as the base material and Ni powder as the additive powder.The phases have been studied by the method of XRD and Topas(2),the microhardness has been measured by durometer.The results show that Al₃Ni and AlNi₃ have been produced in the friction and extrusion area,the crystal parameters of the Al₃Ni and AlNi₃ were increased and the grains are fine.The microharness of Al₃Ni attains 520HV.The investigation indicates that friction and extrusion method can be used for metallic material alloying.
