Bending of Laminated Composite Plates with Edges Elastically Restrained Against Rotation

  • Based on the Reddy-type plate theory of higher-order shear deformation ,a solution is formulated for symmetrically laminated cross-ply rectangular plate with edges elastically restrained against rotation.Large sparse system of linear equations are solved by sparse matrix methods.The present theory leads to less error when compared with three-dimensional elasticity solutions.
