Multifocus Image Fusion Method Based on Wavelet Frame Transform

A new multifocus image fusion method based on wavelet frame transform was proposed.Firstly,each source image was decomposed using wavelet frame transform.Then by utilizing characteristics of the multifocus image,the high frequency coefficients were fused with local wavelet energy maximum selectivity and the low frequency coefficients were fused with regional spatial frequency maximum selectivity,and consistency of the fused coefficients verified.Finally the fused image was obtained by reconstruction.The experiment demonstrates that compared with traditional wavelet transform method,the proposed method can get better fusion result.
