Simulation analysis of carbon steel microstructure in the electroslag casting process

  • The technological parameters determine the metal pool profile and the microstructure's size and tropism in the electroslag casting process,which affects the quality of ingot casting.The microstructure in the electroslag casting process was simulated by CA method in the surrounding of the software MATLAB,the results of which were in accordance with experiments.The influence on the metal pool profile and the microstructure's size and tropism,which was caused by the temperature of the electroslag pool,the coefficient of the bottom and the side,was discussed,which provided the scientific basis for the process of the electroslag casting.
