Effects of surface roughness on joints properties in small-scale resistance spot welding of beryllium copper

  • The effect of sheet surface roughness on mechanical properties and microstructure of the joint was studied in small-scale resistance spot welding of beryllium copper under different surface roughness condition.The result shows that the surface roughness affects the mechanical properties significantly when the welding current is small.It has little effect on mechanical properties when surface roughness increases.Surface roughness has little effect on microstructure of the joint.
