Stress Corrosion Cracking Characteristic of Interference Fit Specimens

Stress corrosion cracking characteristic of LY12-CZ Al-alloy specimens with zincified 30CrMnSiA steel interference fit fasteners in 3.5%NaCl+0.5%H₂O₂ solution using constant load test technique.It was shown that the susceptibility of stress corrosion cracking decreased with the interference amount increasing and that be mostly influenced by galvanic coupling of Al-alloy and zincified 30CrMnSiA steel.
