Numerical Simulation of Steady Flow around 3D buildings

  • The paper presents numerical calculations of turbulent wind flow conditions around two three-dimensional parallel buildings with the software of computational fluid dynamics.The numerical simulation are carried out with the standard model.It obtains the rules of distri-bution of wind flow around the buildings and pressure on the buildings.The result shows that the flow separates over the top and two sides of the first building along the direction of flow;there is a strong eddy at the street canyon-between the two buildings,and the maximal part negative pressure lies in the top of the first building.
