Analysis of Take-off and Landing Characteristics of F/A-18F Carrier-based Aircraft

    Abstract
  • The aerodynamic characteristics of F/A-18F at low speed and low altitude were computed by CFD software.The data of aerodynamic characteristics and some other related data were used to estimate and analyze the takeoff and landing characteristics of F/A-18F,including takeoff speed,track,sink and landing speed.Some influencing factors were also discussed in this paper and the discussion shows that higher take-off angle of attack and thrust-weight ratio are beneficial to takeoff of carrier-based aircraft.
