Research into the improvement of algorithm of shape from shading with a linear triangular element surface model

Abstract
The algorithm of triangular element SFS combines a triangular element surface model with a linearized reflectance map.The main idea is to approximate a smooth surface by the union of triangular surface patches called triangular elements and express the approximating surface as a linear combination of a set of nodal basis functions.In this paper,the proposed improvement of this algorithm enhances the accuracy of SFS and speeds up the convergence of the iteration.
