A Study on Thermal-mechanical Coupled Analysis Technique of Axial-symmetry Forging Forming Process

  • During forging forming process,temperature affects the pattern of metal deformation considerably,especially in the forming process at high temperature.In this paper,a study on thermal mechanical coupled analysis technique of axial symmetry forging forming process is investigated,the rigid plastic finite element analysis method is discussed and the model of thermal mechanical coupled analysis is established.The corresponding computer software is developed.A cylinder upsetting process is simulated using the developed software.The validity of the analysis method and the software is verified by comparing simulated results with the experiment values and calculated results from other references.
