Investigation of Fe powder material and sintering process for indirect Laser Sintering

  • It is significant to develop new material with low cost and good formation property for selective laser sintering(SLS) applications.Fe powder was investigated for indirect SLS in this paper.The researches show that SLS material made of Fe powder with epoxy resin as binder is very easy to produce with good formation property and low cost.Moreover,its sintering parameters were optimized in this paper.Complex three dimensional parts are successfully fabricated using the material and optimum parameters and its errors are always about +0.3mm.
