Computer control system of maximum m superplasticity deformation based on titanium alloy

  • In this paper,the emphasis is placed on the principles and experiment method of its computer control.In superplastic deformation(SPD) process,strain-rate sensitivity exponent(m) is a critical parameter,which represents,articulates and quantifies the superplasticity level.The higher the m value,the better the superplasticity of the materials.When the titanium alloy is in plastic deformation,we probe the force and speed through sensor and calculate the value of m.Then according to the situation of value of m fluctuating,we will send the best speed to machine.The experiment results show that by maximum m superplasticity deformation(MaxmSPD),the titanium alloys produce marked superplastic behaviour in comparison with those general superplastic test methods.The new method can investigate the optimal superplastic deformation pattern.
