Analysis of welding process stability in high speed CO₂ arc welding

The electrical parameters of the short circuit transfer process in CO₂ arc welding were measured by means of welding quality analyzer of Hannover.The regular of the arc-time and short-circuiting transfer cycle time was investigated under the high speed welding.The influence of the short-circuit transfer parameters on the welding process stability in high speed CO₂ welding were analyzed.Through research of current and voltage waveforms in short-circuit period and arc period,the results show that the current waveform control is an effective method to improve stability of welding process.
