Investigation into accuracy of metal green parts manufactured by indirect SLS

The mixture of deoxidized Fe powder and epoxy powder was chosen as indirect SLS process material,and through orthogonal experiment,the dimensional accuracy of metal green parts of above mixture manufactured by indirect SLS was investigated,several influencing factors were discussed at the same time.The results show that the volume variation of binder material with temperature and the decomposition of it with laser energy density are the main influencing factors of dimensional accuracy;scan spacing can affect dimensional accuracy in X and Y direction;relative good accuracy will be obtained when slice thickness is equal to 0.12mm,scan spacing 0.13mm,scan speed 1900mm/s～1950mm/s, and laser power 12W.
