Numerical Simulation of Temperature Field in TIG Welding under External Longitudinal Magnetic Field

Abstract
Welding temperature distribution was effected by the effective heated radius of the arc regulated by different external longitudinal magnetic intensity.In order to obtain effective heated radius of the arc of TIG welding under external longitudinal magnetic field,influence coefficient of arc was measured by comparison with different arc shape of TIG welding created on the water-cooled copper anode plate.Temperature distribution of TIG welding with numerical simulation was consistent with experimental result.
