Studies on Graft Copolymerization of Acrylic Acid and Acrylamide onto Potato Starch

The regularities of graft copolymerization of acrylic acid and acrylamide onto potato starch using (Mn(H₂P₂O₇))^3- as an initiator are reported.The results show that the grafting percentage and grafting efficiency become higher,when initiator concentration is 2.7×10^-3mol/L,the proportion of acrylic acid to acrylamide is 1:1,the temperature of reaction is 50℃,the time of reaction is 5h.
