An analysis of characteristics of incidence of respiratory disease in Jiangxi

The authors collected 9081 respiratory cases of patients hospitalized in four big hospitals of Nanchang city from 1996 to 1999 and found that the respiratory diseases occurred mostly in March or April.They did smooth treatment and standardized treatment of the cases for ten days and classified them into four seasons from the perspective of meteorology,establishing the regressive equation of ten-day prediction of the relation between diseases and meteorological factors in spring,summer,autumn and winter.By means of the equation,they calculated the distribution of respiratory diseases from 1971 to 2000 in all the counties and municipalities of Jiangxi province,concluding that the peak of incidence happened in the first ten days of March and the middle ten days of April and the bottom of incidence in the first ten days of September and the first ten days of November with the characteristic of being low in incidence in the north and high in south.
