The edge detection algorithm in the video measuring system

An appropriate edge detection algorithm plays crucial role in improving the accuracy of video measuring system.This paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the traditional edge detector and canny edge detector.Based on the theoretical analysis,we propose a center B-spline edge detection algorithm.This algorithm performs well on robustness to noise in the video measuring system.The practical measuring results show that its performance is better than others.
