Study on the Envelope Characteristics of Phenols by Cycl odextrin

The envelope characteristics of 2,4-dinitrophenol,p-chlorophenol and 2,4-dichlorophenol to β-CD at different concentration and pH values are investigated in the paper.The curves of envelope characteristics and influence of concentration and pH values on the envelope characteristics are also discussed.The result shows that the envelope complex formed is 1:1 for the host β-CD with all guest phenols;the binding constants of 2,4-dinitrophenol,p-chlorophenol,2,4-dichlorophenol to β-CD are 1.0×10⁵、2.8×10² and 2.5×10² respectively.
