Preparation of Al₂TiO₅ ceramic

Al₂TiO₅ was synthesized at solid state by one step method.Ball milling enables the uniform mixing of Al₂O₃ and Anatase-TiO₂,insures the complete reaction as well as avoids big growth of crystalline.The pH effect of Al₂O₃ and Anatase-TiO₂ suspension on Zeta potential and sintering rule was studied.The suspension viscosity as a function of dispersant was also investigated.Results show that a pH9.7 suspension with the presence of 0.6wt% dispersant can obtain uniform Al₂O₃ and Anatase-TiO₂ suspension,and the mixture can react completely at 1450℃ for 2 hours.
