Study on the Isolation of Sillicate Bacteria and Its Identification of Biochemical Properities

  • A strain of bacillus is isolated from the collected sample by a series of methods.The morphological,cultural and biochemical characters of this culture are reported.According to the characteristics,this culture belongs to bacillus mucilaginosus.The product of the culture is also analyzed by HPLC.The results proved that the bacteria can resolve potassium from glass powder.The content of the soluble potassium increases by 77% over the contrast after 72hs shaking culture.This indicates that the silicate bacteria has the capability of decomposing mineral potassium.So it can be used in the development and production of biofertilizer that can decompose the mineral potassium in the soil.
