Data Transfer In 3DH-Adaptive FEA

Two kinds of data transfer methods for 3D h-adaptive mesh management are presented.In this paper,a simple data transfer method sacrificing solution accuracy for saving computation time is compared with a rigorous data transfer method keeping the accuracy of solution.The accuracy of data transfer was verified by a numerical computation problem.The result indicated that for simple problem both methods achieved data transfer with acceptable error.For problems with complex stress states,rigorous method is more reliable.For coarsening in particular,the rigorous method is recommended.
