Investigation on infrared absorption for the C-SiC coatings before and after H+ Ion Irradiation

    Abstract
  • SIMS and FT-IR analysis for the C-SiC coatings deposited by ion beam mixing on stainless steel substrates was done.SIMS spectra showed the characteristics of the hydrogen resistant for the C-SiC coatings.The infrared absorption spectra of the C-SiC coatings before and after H+ ion irradiation showed different feaftures.Related mechanism of hydrogen resistant property is discussed for the C-SiC coatings prepared by ion beam mixing.
