Effect of solution aging on structure and property of TC4 titanium alloy

  • Metallurgy technology for pre-alloyed Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy by hot isosmtatic pressing(HIP) is described.By use of different temperatures and aging temperatures for the solution treatment as well as aging time,effect of heat treatment process on structure and property of TC4 titanium alloy has been more systematically studied.The results show that solution treated at 965℃,cooled to room temperature by water,and then aging at 470℃ will help to obtain good mechanical properties.It is suitable for cold working.
