Teaching Reform of Object-oriented Programming based on OBE Concept

  • OBE (Outcome-based Education) emphasizes the continuous improvement of “student-centered and output-oriented” to meet the needs of students to acquire knowledge and develop ability. The achievement orientation of the existing teaching reform of the course “Object Oriented Programming” highlights the understanding and application of programming language, the principle of language rules, the method and thinking mode of object-oriented programming. The teaching reform of this course is based on the OBE concept, focusing on the combination of object-oriented programming and students’ majors, and guiding them to reasonably and efficiently apply object-oriented development tools in relevant professional projects. Moreover, we introduce comprehensive projects into practical teaching, appropriately improve the workload and difficulty of practical teaching, and cultivate students’ awareness and ability of teamwork. Consequently, the “pain points” and “blocking points” of the curriculum are cleaned up , which also combine the curriculum with talent training. The results of practical application show that the engineering application ability of the students is improved, and they can complete the comprehensive practical projects better than before.
