Preparetion of Three-Dimensional Catalytic Cu2−xSe and Study on Photocatalytic Degradation of Formaldehyde
-
Abstract
In order to prepare a photocatalyst capable of absorbing a longer-wavelength source, utilizing the visible light and infrared light region of sunlight. A three-dimensional non-stoichiometric Cu2−xSe photocatalyst was prepared by a sacrificial template method using a commercial Cu mesh as a template. Cu mesh was immersed in Se2− solution including selenium powder, NaOH and NaBH4. By comparing the catalysts with different reaction time, the photocatalyst obtained at 2 h had the best performance. Cu2−xSe/Cu mesh achieves good response in both visible and infrared regions. Under infrared irradiation, 10 ppm formaldehyde could be completely degrade by Cu2−xSe/Cu mesh for 50 min. Cu2−xSe/Cu mesh can completely remove 10 ppm formaldehyde after 40 min, and the photocatalyst can still maintain high catalytic degradation performance after 10 cycles. 3D Cu2−xSe/Cu mesh has excellent formaldehyde degradation performance, and its performance in the infrared regions also very significant.
