Simulation and Experimental Research on the Crack of the Aeroengine Turbine Blade with Eddy Current Testing

  • A three-dimensional finite element about the aero-engine turbine blade crack detection with eddy current testing is established for researching the influence of excitation frequency, excitation voltage, the average radius of coil and coil number of turns of coil to the induced electromotive force. According to the results of simulation, a differential eddy current sensor with small front-end and high sensitivity is designed. With the five-axis linkage eddy current testing system, the tests of surface crack defects of the turbine blade is conducted. By analyzing and contrasting the results of the experiment and the simulation, it can be found that the differential eddy current sensor can effectively realize the turbine blade surface crack defect detection and evaluation. This paper has a certain practical and reference significance for detection the cracks on complex curved surface crack in metal parts like the turbine blade with eddy current testing.
