Comparative Study of Ultrasonic Testing Methods for Bimetal Composite Plate

  • The ultrasonic testing methods for bimetal composite plate are studied in this paper. The four methods, such as shear wave angle probe,longitudinal wave probe,longitudinal TR transducer and ultrasonic phased array are used for the same artificial defect testing. The experimental data is analyzed and compared to find most suitable method for bimetal composite plate. The result can provide reference for double metal composite plate testing. The experimental results show that the longitudinal TR transducer and ultrasonic phased array are more suitable for the testing of bimetal composite plate.
