Performance of Titanium Alloy Electron Beam Fuse Deposition Rapid Prototyping

  • Electron beam fused deposition rapid prototyping is a new kind of rapid prototyping technology, can be used for manufacturing of large metal structures, aerospace, medical and other fields. During the inspection of electron beam in order to find out the fused deposition forming process on Microstructure of TC4 titanium alloy and influence of micro-hardness. The results show that the effect range of the electron beam is increased and the energy distribution is more uniform; A certain volume fraction of α phase and α' phase have been found in the melt zone and adjacent zone, In the process of rapid prototyping, the melting zone and the cladding region have experienced the phase transition process from primary α→β→α/α'.
