Study of Redundancy Reliability Design Based on the Genetic Algorithm

  • Redundant design is one of the key methods to improve the system reliability, but the coupling effect of multiple factors is often involved in the redundancy design process. In this paper, the genetic algorithm was led into the study of optimum design of redundancy configuration. The program of optimal design was written and graphical user interface which is convenient for human-computer interaction was designed by using the MATLAB software. The redundancy configuration and the design of reliability of the fly-by-wire control system were studied, taking three factors-reliability, cost and weight of the system as considered factors. The result shows that this method is convenient and feasible, and it has a good practical value which is adapted to various optimum designs of redundancy configuration of the fly-by-wire control system by modifying the fraction of the program.
