Analysis on Total Transfer Matrix for Multilayer Composite with Porous Sandwich Material and Its Properties of Sound Absorption and Sound Insulation

  • For the study of multilayer composite with porous sandwich material, the total transfer matrix of any multilayer combination was founded based on the porous material transfer matrix and homogeneous material transfer matrix. Establishing the relevant software with matlab, sound insulation and absorption coefficient of the multilayer composite were analyzed. Also, the influence of different material parameters and combinations to sound insulation and absorption coefficient were discussed. This establishment of sound insulation and absorption coefficient formula provided significant mean to the development of new lightweight multi-layer composite with good acoustic insulation and absorption.
