Simulation of Electric-Hydrostatic Actuator Driven by Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

  • Electro Hydrostatic Actuator (EHA) modeling is one of the key technologies for the research of more electric aircraft. By means of Matlab/Simulink simulation tools, this paper builds a new model of EHA system. Replacing the currently used brushless motor with permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) as driving motor of EHA system, the paper analyzes the effect that accumulator brings to the system, and compares physical modeling by Simulink hydraulic toolbox with traditional mathematical model. The experimental results show that the permanent magnet synchronous motor and the accumulator can reduce the system fluctuation to improve the control accuracy and the performance of the system. It provides a new idea for the next development of EHA.
