Fuzzy Sliding Mode Control for Hypersonic Vehicles

Abstract
As the hypersonic vehicle is a strong coupling, time-varying and highly nonlinear system, this paper realizes the input/output exact linearization by adopting the feedback linearization method for the longitudinal model of hypersonic vehicle, which makes the controlled variables decoupling. Moreover, a fuzzy sliding mode controller is designed for linearized model, and then achieves precise control by employing sliding mode variable structure controller with dynamic inversion control; and adaptive compensation control is carried out for uncertainty of model by fuzzy function approximation. Finally, numerical simulations considering the vertical flight control of the hypersonic vehicle are studied, and the results show that the linearized model is correct and the control method proposed in this paper is feasible.
