Study on Hot-rolled Strengthening of Carbon Nanotubes Reinforced Aluminum Composites

  • The hot-rolled strengthening of carbon nanotubes reinforced aluminum composites was applied with the purpose of further strengthen for the composites. The optimization of hot rolling process and analysis of hot rolling microstructure and tensile properties of the composites are studied. The results indicate that the processing of 350℃ temperature, 80% processing and 4 times of hot rolling are good for forming composite materials with high mechanical properties. The hot rolling processing make the carbon nanotubes in the rolling direction orientation in composites, which make composite materials achieve further reinforcement by the advantages of carbon nanotubes in one dimension.
