Review of Experimental Research on Insulation Material in Solid Rocket Motor

The experimental researches adopted on the insulation material in solid rocket motor were reviewed from the perspective of influencing factors that are thermochemical ablation, airflow denudation and particle erosion etc. Moreover, the experimental studies on insulator ablation in the condition of overload caused by the flight acceleration were also summarized. Finally, the existing methods of real-time measurement on insulating material ablation and their characteristics were elaborated.
