Abstract:
Based on Euler beam theory and principle of minimum potential energy,the stiffness matrix of Euler beam with the axial force term is derived.Combined with the theory of elastic foundation beam and coordinate translation matrix,the stiffness matrix in the global coordinate system is obtained.According to this method,a user-defined element subroutine is compiled in ABAQUS.Through using this code analysis as an example,the result indicates that the accuracy of the code is high enough to satisfy the engineering calculation.
