Abstract:
According to the principle and mathematical model of the component method of ecological footprint(EF),the six consumption aspects of Nanchang Hongkong University(Qianhu campus) in 2008 with energy(natural gas and electricity),food,garbage,paper,water,and inter-school transportation were investigated.The ecological footprint and ecological efficiencies of Nanchang Hongkong University(Qianhu campus) in 2008 were calculated and evaluated,and the measurements for maintaining them were put forward.The results showed that the total EF of Nanchang Hongkong University(Qianhu campus) was 10763.19hm
2in 2008 that had an ecological footprint of 0.592 hm
2/student and an ecological efficiency of 1.689 student/hm
2.The condition of this school is relatively optimistic compared with the 1.5 hm
2 of the national per capita of ecological footprint.
