Abstract:
The paper studied the distribution of oxalate and soluble Fe in natural water by ICP and UV-2100Dual-beam UV/Vis spectrophotometer, and their effects on the purification of natural water. The results indicated that soluble Fe was widespread in rivers, lakes and rain. The concentration of soluble Fe in the rain was about 0.6~0.8×10
2-mg/L,one order of magnitude smaller than that of the lakes, and two orders of magnitude smaller than that of the Ganjiang River. And the concentration of oxalate in researched water was0.200~0.400mg/L.Under the same conditions of light and time, the results showed strong correlation between the concentration ratio of oxalate and soluble Fe(Fe/C
2O
42-)and the variation of CODcr after being insolated in the sun(△CODcr),the moreFe/C
2O
42-,the more△CODcr,while theFe/C
2O
42-diminished,the△CODcr reduced.
