Abstract:
Based on FLUENT software,firstly,the SST k-ω turbulence model is adopted in the numerical investigation for the single jet impinging with and without a crossflow,then the Nusselt number distribution characteristics of the target face are obtained.Computational results are compared to experimental data available from the open literature of Goldstein Behbahani.The comparison results indicate that the numerical results show a good agreement with the experimental reference data.So,we can say that the SST k-ω turbulence model have significant reliability in the investigation of heat transfer in the impinging jet.
