Abstract: This paper introduce a search engine framework based on ontology,and analysis the function and the working mode of ontology,agent and SE itself in this framework.Meanwhile,this paper presents a distributed multi-ontology retrieval method to process a query of heterogeneous ontology on the internet.With ontology,search engine convert its working mode from full-text retrieval based on key words to Knowledge retrieval,and enhance SE ability for dealing a complicated query.
