Abstract:
The natural frequency and mode shapes of the fully simply supported composite plates are calculated and analyzed by using the layer-wise theory. The dynamic equation of simply supported composite plate is derived from the layer-wise theory. So as to obtain expressions of the natural frequency and vibration modal shape of the fully simply supported laminated plate. Firstly,Accuracy is analyzed. Secondly,the effect of length to thickness ratios,elastic modulus ratios,and viscoelastic damping on the natural frequencies is discussed respectively. Lastly,natural frequencies and modal shapes are investigated by the modal experiment method. The results show that the layer-wise theory is accurate to analyze natural frequency and modal shape of the simply supported composite plates.
