Abstract Ordered mesoporous WO
3/TiO
2 composite materials was prepared by an evaporation-induced self-assembly(EISA) route in the presence of a triblock copolymer surfactant.The material exhibited 2D hexagonal p6mm symmetry and anatase phase structure as well as narrowed bandgap with respect to pure TiO
2.The photocatalytic activity of the WO
3/TiO
2 composite material was evaluated by the degradation of an aqueous organic pollution 2,4-D under Xe lamp irradiation(λ>400nm),and enhanced photocatalytic activity compared to pure TiO
2 was obtained for the composite material.
