Abstract:
Organic chemistry is an important branch of chemistry, and its laboratory teaching occupies a pivotal position in undergraduate education. Carrying out research experiments during undergraduate study is an important way to cultivate students’ innovation ability and practical problem-solving ability. Based on this, the course team proposes a “project-based” undergraduate organic chemistry laboratory teaching model, which attaches importance to the cultivation of students’ comprehensive quality, with the OBE education concept as gudement and scientific research topics and chemistry competitions as impetus. A total of 29 experimental subjects in seven research directions and 80 sophomores are selected to participate in the teaching practice. The practice results show that the teaching content of organic chemistry experiment is becoming more perfect under this teaching model with the focus of experiment changing from confirmatory experiment to comprehensive experiment. Students' interest and sense of identity in chemistry have been significantly improved, and their innovative thinking, hands-on ability and competition results have been significantly improved.
