Abstract:
Functionally graded concrete (FGC) is a new type of composite building material. Its components and properties change continuously in space. In this paper, the steady-state thermal fracture of FGC beams is studied based on the finite element software ANSYS with a layered model. The convergence and calculation accuracy of layered finite element method are verified through a typical example. On this basis, the effects of gradient form, gradient parameters and crack shape on the thermal fracture behavior of FGC beams are further analyzed. The related findings may provide some supports for the component determination of FGC beams.
