侧链含苯并菲液晶基元的新型共轭聚合物合成与表征

Synthesis and Characterization of Conjugated Polymer Containing Benzophenanthrene Liquid Crystal Unit in Side Chain

  • 摘要: 本文通过分子设计,合成了一种侧链含苯并菲盘状液晶基元的侧链型共轭聚合物PBTTPHT-C8。在无水三氯化铁的催化作用下,1,2-苯二辛醚和2-溴苯辛醚发生分子间成环反应,首先合成了侧链苯并菲盘状液晶基元;然后在无水无氧和氩气保护的条件下,将2,5-二溴-3-苯并菲噻吩和4,7-二(三甲基锡)-2,1,3-苯并噻二唑发生Stille交叉偶联反应,合成目标聚合物。用傅里叶变换红外光谱仪(FT-IR)、核磁共振仪(1H NMR),分别对合成过程的一系列中间体和目标聚合物,进行了分析和表征。凝胶渗透色谱仪(GPC)表征了聚合物的分子量和分散系数,紫外−可见分光光度计(UV-vis)测试表明聚合物在243 nm和399 nm有吸收峰,能级带隙为2.21 eV,循环伏安法(CV)测试表明聚合物EHOMO为−5.62 eV,ELUMO为−3.41 eV。

     

    Abstract: In this paper, a side chain conjugated polymer PBTTPHT-C8 containing benzophenanthrene discotic mesogens was designed and synthesized. Through the catalysis of anhydrous ferric chloride, 1,2-benzenedioctyl ether and 2-bromophenoxyphene ether undergo an intermolecular ring-forming reaction to synthesize side-chain benzophenanthrene discotic liquid crystal unit; In the condition of anhydrous and argon protection, the target polymer was synthesized by Stille cross-coupling reaction between 2,5-dibromo-3-benzophenanthrophene and 4,7-bis(trimethyltin)-2,1,3-benzothiadiazole. The structure of the synthesized monomers and polymers were characterized using advanced Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR). Gel permeation chromatograph (GPC) was used to characterize the molecular weight of the polymer. The UV visible spectrophotometer (UV-vis) test shows that the polymer has absorption peaks at 243 nm and 399 nm, and the band gap is 2.21 eV. Cyclic voltammetry (CV) tests show that the polymer EHOMO is −5.62 eV and ELUMO is −3.41 eV.
