Abstract:
DSP Principles and Applications is a highly comprehensive application course for majors of electronic information. The traditional teaching method of DSP course only uses simple control system as design case. It cannot reflect the advantages of DSP technology which is suitable for building of intelligent information system, and hardly mobilize students’ enthusiasm and does not meet the requirements of engineering education certification whose goal is to cultivate students’ capacity of solving complex engineering problems. Aiming at overcoming the weakness of traditional teaching methods, this paper proposes a project-throughout based teaching innovation method, which utilizes a speech command recognition project as research case and organizes the whole teaching program. The teaching content and innovative experimental projects are reorganized and designed according to the knowledge and ability required for project development. Practical results preliminary show that project-based teaching provides students with an active learning environment, which has a strong role in cultivating students’ creative thinking and improving the teaching quality.
