Abstract:
The complex turbulent flow over a typical three-blade horizontal -axis wind turbine rotor was simulated based on the LBM-LES method combines the advantages of both Lattice Boltzmann Method(LBM)and Large Eddy Simulation(LES). The wind turbine generally rotates at the random speed on the fixed axis due to the force of the wind. The traditional computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method is not easily used to simulate this complex flow field. The three-dimensional particle velocity model of the LBM method is D3Q27, and the Wall-Adapting Local-Eddy subgrid model of LES is used to simulate the turbulence. The numerical results show that the LBM-LES method is good at simulating the unsteady turbulent flow of wind turbine and obtaining the detail information of it.
