Abstract:
The choice of turbulence model directly affects the accuracy of numerical simulation of axial flow compressor. With transonic axial compressor of NASA Stage 35 as an object of study, numerical simulation of the compressor is carried out by using the turbulence model B-L、S-A、k-ε(Low Re Yang-Shihk), k-ε (Extended Wall Function), EARSM and
SST. The performance of compressor and flow characteristics, which resulted from six types of turbulence, was analyzed. It checked the effect of each turbulence model on numerical simulation of NASA Stage 35 axial compressor. It is showed that the
SST model is in good agreement with the experimental results, and the prediction accuracy is relatively high.
