Abstract:
Dissimilar material between Ta and Mo sheetl of 0.2 mm thickness were butt welded by micro impulse laser, and TC4 alloy wire as filler material. The progress parameters were optimized by orthogonal experiment, and influence of processing parameter on cross-section morphology and mechanical properties of welded joint was studied. The result shows that when the pulse power for 20.8 W, pulse width for 3 ms, pulse frequency for 6 Hz, the tensile strength of the welded joint is greater than the Ta base metal. The width of the interfacial zone between Ta base metal and the weld is small and the interface is a line, on the line interface growthing with a layer of columnar crystal. There is an obvious interfacial zone of about 10 μm width between Mo base metal and the weld, the grain of fused area are grown in a cellular crystal manner.
