Abstract:
In order to improve the machining efficiency of aircraft structural parts rib feature, we investigated two kinds of commonly used tool path generation methods. Furthermore, relational equations between scallop height and tool diameter, tool corner radius, cutting parameters and so on were derived to guide the tool selection and the set of cutting parameters. Through a part's simulation experiment, the optimized cutting parameters were obtained by the derived relational equation. Through comparing several methods of processing, the optimal processing method can be found to improve the machining efficiency of the rib feature.
